Introducing Touch: Your true social life on your phone

Over the past 9 months, we at Enflick have been busy building the foundation for a platform that delivers an incredible experience. We took our time to understand how people actually interact with close friends and family in life, and used that understanding to design a simple user experience. Then, we redeveloped our technology from the ground-up to deliver that instant, reliable and personal experience.

The result?

Today we are introducing our new platform, Touch.

To learn more about Touch, visit touch.com.

Why did we create Touch? Today there are many communication tools and social networks available. Some are built to maintain relationships with acquaintances, some are built to maintain interest-based public relationships, and still others are for instant communication. However, none of these tools really support us as we maintain our most important relationships.

In real life, we don’t share our life experiences with everyone we’ve ever met – it’s important for us to control who is watching to really be ourselves. When we do this, we don’t stop and think about it; our groups naturally change as our context changes. To maintain our real social life while being apart, we need the same simple experience – the power to naturally stay in full control of our social connections.

In October 2009, we introduced PingChat! to the iTunes App Store as the first free mobile messenger for iPhones and iPods, and it became an instant hit. After introducing PingChat! for Android and BlackBerry to make it cross-platform, PingChat! has grown to over 13 million users worldwide. Our mission since day one has been to bring people around the world closer with their friends and family. By introducing Touch today, we’re taking another step towards delivering on that mission.

Would be totally awesome if it actually worked .. :(

I’m really disappointed you removed the audio and video upload feature. Also, I used to be able to copy and paste text from Pingchat into an email. Is that not possible anymore?

Hey i was reading about how pingchat bought touch and now is one of the
biggest instant messaging app but what you should do is also join up
with app like whatapp and liveprofile and KiK and also Hello and
ect….and  just make one big cool app where everyone could have bbm
like sevice and knock Rim off the blackberry

Hey i was reading some of the comment on this page and it true what
mob176 is saying they should just create one big app for all smart
    phones

what i believe the company touch should do is expand there service by
joining Apple and inserting there sever into IMessage Or with Blackberry
    insert it to RIM

it will be a great deal if they get to expand it that big and it will take this company to the next level hope they will make it big best of wishes to this app

Best Downgrade ever!! I really liked PingChat, but Touch is simply disappointing. This is reflected by lowest ratings e.g. in the german Appstore. The design and the (missing) functions should be revised very very soon and very very quickly. Otherwise you won`t get ‘in Touch’ with anybody.

No video and no audio. This was the only app that used to have both of them and now i had to switch over to another app. i really miss the video messaging aspect.

I sure wish yor site told anywhere what exactly touch does, why I would want it, and why it requests the device permissions it does. Until then, I won’t be trying it.
